Something I am not thankful for this Thanksgiving: the abundance of stories about shoppers swarming malls. To the extent Black Friday is a real story it gets way too much play - a conspiracy of convenience between newsrooms with thin holiday staffs looking for filler and retailers happy to get free publicity.
