Update on layoffs in the San Gabriel Valley

Here's an update on the layoffs at the San Gabriel Valley Newspaper Group: Seven people total lost their jobs: two of them were on the business side, five from the newsroom. The affected newsroom employees are Hector Gonzalez, Eric Reed, Karen Lee, Coye Sloan and Steve Wytucki.

Add: Gonzalez was the city editor at the Pasadena Star-News, one of the three papers in the SGVN chain. His position will not be filled. Metro Editor Frank Girardot will continue as the primary editor for the paper.

Frank WHO? WTF? When was the last time that "journalist" did anything journalistic? He claims to have worked continuously at the papers but he left for some years to run a fam business that failed. Where is the honesty is saying he's been there all along? F these good for nothings who take up other people's rightful place and jobs.

Re: 10:51 AM - envy of what? That wannabe journalist, and probably u, couldn't write your way out of a paper bag if your lives depended on it. Laughing all the way to d bank as I c u dolts scrambling to kiss A** at every turn so you are not the ones to be cut next. That's your specialty, oh and also throwing people under the bus to save your a$$ - kiss it up as long as it last because ship's going down no matter how good you are art what yoju do and remember, you will have that aftertaste in your mouth for a long time to come. Let us all know when you're dizzy from circling the drain for so long. XOXOXO

Thursday, July 7 is the scheduled union vote in San Bernardino. Pray that there is enough spirit left to vote for ourselves.
