Michaels gone

The slow-motion firing of Tribune Co. CEO Randy Michaels has finally reached its end. He's gone, a board of four will take over until a new CEO is named. LA Biz Observed

How is it that Eddie Hartenstein doesn't just survive but move up. I guess turning your paper's prime real estate - the front page - into a national joke isn't as bad as sending out a T&A video link in an employee message.

it isn't about the journalism any more. it is about making money. not a bad idea, but, they both can go hand in hand. newspapers have gone the way of volumes of encyclopedia's and year books. you can get info elsewhere, younger generations don't want the paper at any price, and, advertising is leaving quickly.
