Escalante's legacy*

On tonight's "Which Way, LA?", Warren Olney talks about Jaime Escalante's impact on teaching in Los Angeles with Washington Post education columnist Jay Mathews, who wrote "Escalante: The Best Teacher in America"; decorated elementary school teacher Rafe Esquith, and two of Escalante's former students, East Los Angeles attorney Sandra Munoz and Garfield High School administrator Javier Gonzalez. Escalante died Tuesday at age 79.
