This is like trying to get people to book passage on the Titanic years after it sank.
The paywall goes up in May and the layoffs will start in June.
These folks really need to sit down and think these ideas through. The special printer idea (remember that) well I haven't heard of them making any money off it.
Just about every paper that has tried to make money via the net has failed - this is just moving deck chairs around.
Why not just go with original content on the net and preview the paper. It's MARKETING tool.
oy. this is going to cause them to have further layoffs etc. wow. what a ludicrous idea to implement NOW.

Layoffs in June?
Where did this info come from?
Paywall. Yeah, it worked *SO* well for Newsday, didn't it?

Not going to make a nickle. Why would you pay when you can get better content for free?
9:50 yeah i heard that too. for some reason everyone is comfy cozy thinking these papers are not loosing money and they are believeing all the rhetoric. going to be in for a rude awakening. trust me. they are not losing as much money b/c they decimated the product and made money off all those jobs including the valencia press shut down. THINK people. THINK. i worry about folks who have their head in the sand and think it's going to be biz as usual. just wait.

Okay, what are we supposed to be thinking? Would you mind providing facts concerning your predictions of doom?
predictions of doom? take a look at the carnage over the past three years at this group. you think it will stop? come on, they don't have a clue. if i had to wager this group winning an obstacle course race with the braille institute, it wouldn't be on the boys from denver. they will continue to lose bodies because they simply dont know how to grow and run a business. did they just now get smart? this pay wall will fail because as said earlier you can get the crap for free and better many other places. have you looked at their content? who would pay for it? and, would you?
Of all the firms in all the world, this one really sucks.
It will work as well as their management team.
The only wall these twits can put up is a wall of ignorance.
