The legislation comes three years after McKay Hatch of South Pasadena launched his No Cussing Club. Apparently, Hatch and his legislative allies think cussing is a gateway to greater sins. From the Sacramento Bee:
"McKay reasoned that if pupils could say no to cussing it would be easier to stay away from drugs, violence and pornography, and to turn their focus to positive aspirations and goals," the Assembly proposal reads.

geez...
With all of the issues out there facing this country and the world, this is what one of our legislators introduces...wow wee. I will sleep better tonight just knowing Anthony is working for all of us.
Portantino is a do-nothing blowhard who has spun his wheels with this kind of baloney for a decade, first on the LCF council and now in the Assembly. He's the worst possible kind of "public servant" imaginable -- Anthony is all about Anthony, all the time.
