When I left Lambert's place for a better job, I was treated in an unprofessional manner. I will never forget that.

Well, one reporter has made it to the Inland Division - James Rufus Koren, formerly of the Antelope Valley Press. I did a double take when I saw his byline in the Daily Bull the other day. It appears that he left the paper, the article on the day after he quit was labeled "Special to the Antelope Valley Press", and the next day he had a byline in LANG. Not bad.

I remember reading his coverage of the Michelle O'Keefe trial (young cheerleader murdered at park and ride lot in Palmdale).

Of course, the news hole will be a lot shorter at LANG - the AV Press is famous for those ridiculously long and detailed stories about mundane water board issues or petty squabbles in town councils that have no real power. And, of course, they resist putting up a decent web site, or of uploading their stories to Lexis-Nexis or Newsbank, so any reporter who works there wanting to move to the big leagues is going to be underexposed. Here's best of luck to him in LANG, and hope he gets a name for himself so he can move up the chain as fast as he can.

There will be no chain left at lang to move up shortly. Being treated in an unprofessional manner at lang is normal...what would be strange is if they adopted some class and dignity...riiiiggggght.

lambert as editor and publisher, unreal. what business experience does he have in running a department that needs revenue...none. let's forget about the journalism side of the business for a minute, as lang clearly has done...who is going to grow ad dollars? that is the problem. lambert has been a stooge for hamilton since hamiltons arrival...not a surprise he put him in that spot...he was there for months with a different title. makes me wonder why the delay in south bay/long beach...lambert will cause revenue to drop even further.

You must be confusing the Lambert's. The one that works in the newspaper industry will officiate the closing, on his watch, a number of newspapers. I guess that's close to godlike. Revenues will drop like frozen turkeys from a plane over the next several month. There isn't much left to drop on the journalistic front.
