Thank god...the police*

It may surprise you to learn that people in power sometimes abuse their authority.

*UPDATED: I should have included the Oakland Tribune story of the incident. It's here. As you read it, I ask you to first ponder the notion of a female photographer trying to elbow a patrol car out of her way, and then to consider the description of a student protest as a "moving crime scene."

American society has a problem with their law enforcement - a not so obvious one...turns out that we put cops/soldiers on a pedestal and to talk about keeping an eye of them is - in the eyes of many - blasphemy.

We should know better - and spread the word about it. Yes, there are honest, well-meaning cops and soldiers out there, but there's also the other side of the spectrum...
