Editor & Publisher is proclaiming print isn't dead yet because of the mad rush to get newspapers on election day.

They must be out of their mind.

So people are buing a newspaper that they feel may be worth some money or they want to put it a way to show their grandkids one day the historic election.

I would imagine that there are many other items the public may deem valuable but that the industry has weakened greatly over the years.

Certainly not a reason to be giddy about the state of the industry.

One thing you can take to the bank, next year when circulation is down yet again, they will blame it on the election and all the copies they sold.

Also, in my newspaper, there was not any increase in advertising space sold for the edition, as a matter of fact, I would wager that there was less than the prior Wednesday.
