OC Register settles with carriers

The Orange County Register has agreed to pay $42 million in damages, benefits and legal fees to settle a class-action lawsuit brought by 5,000 current and former newspaper carriers. The OC Register story is here. You'll notice the story does not include the settlement amount - you'll have to read the plaintiffs' press release (a link is provided) to get that. You may also remember that the judge in the case tried to stop the Register from reporting on the lawsuit, only to be slapped down by a court of appeals.
