Reporters investigating reporters

The Church of Scientology has hired a team of reporters to investigate the St. Petersburg Times' reporting on the Church of Scientology, Howard Kurtz reports. It's an unusual PR move, but one that will probably become more common as journalists look for ways to make a living.

I wonder who will investigate the team that the church hired to investigate the investigators at the Times?

Those reporters are sellouts. Shame on them. And who in their right mind would hire them after the Cof$ gig is over? It's professional suicide.

Steve Weinberg is a colorful guy, but he is using his IRE and the University of Missouri cred to get a paycheck for a terrible idea. It sounds like he has done the work, so too late for him. But not too late for IRE and Missouri to admonish and perhaps reconsider their relationships with Weinberg.
